We know. We partnered with local officials and were systematically stolen from over a period of years. Many who stick their neck out for the common good tell similar stories of deception and abuse of power, often by public officials. Though this predatory environment is improving, we have designed this section of the website to encourage and celebrate those who have fought and are fighting for the common good—often in the face of tremendous resistance.

Romanian young people have precious few role-models to look up to. When asked who their heroes are, usually they respond blankly, or with the infamous Vlad Tepes, the bloody Impaler who gave rise to the Dracula Myth.

This section of the website is meant to provide encouragement and examples of moral courage for Romania’s youth. It is also to highlight positive changes in the fight against corruption and incompetency, and that it is possible for “one person to make a difference.”
