Diana Certan, program director at NHF performed a research project on the participants to the New Horizons Foundation's programs VIATA (based on adventure education) and IMPACT (based on service learning) aimed to identify the changes induced by these programs in the levels of social capital displayed by the subjects (in terms of interpersonal trust and cooperation). This research was supervised by Dr. Gabi Badescu, a leading social capital scholar from the University of Babes-Bolyai (Cluj).
